‘Acrylic Pouring’ is as far from Tangled Line Art as it could be😊 The process of creating ‘Acrylic Pours’ is at the opposite end of the spectrum to creating Tangled Line Art. Tangled Line Art is very detailed and precise whereas Acrylic Pouring is, for the most part, random and ‘what happens, happens’!
Briefly, ‘Acrylic Pour’ is the process of combining acrylic paints with a pouring medium, adding a few drops of silicon and combining the paints to ‘pour’ and mix together to create wonderful effects😊
For me, Tangled Line Art and Acrylic Pouring created a wonderfully balance in creative techniques.
Over a period of more years than I care to admit to, I have pursued a number of creative activities ranging from dressmaking, knitting, hand embroidery (particularly cross stitch and blackwork), quilting, zentangle and art journaling along with a few other creative activities to a lesser degree. As a child, I was fascinated with the spirograph and remember spending hours at a stretch creating patterns, patterns and more patterns. I have always wanted to draw and I now feel that I have come full circle with these artworks being a combination of my love of spirograph type patterns and the precision required for, and the geometry of, cross stitch, blackwork and patchwork and quilting.
